Program description:
The Colorado ecosystem sits at the forefront of Cleantech and Climate-focused technologies, yet making connections to each other and area investors remains challenging. Cleantech and Climate-focused startups often face high upfront costs, long development cycles, and policy uncertainties that require substantial investment. At TVN’s Climate Solutions Investment Bootcamp, startups will connect with investors, learn from founders who have gone before them, and refine the skills and tools they need to kick off their fundraising or complete their round.
Our Climate Solutions Investment Bootcamp focuses on five key areas, including making investor introductions, perfecting an in-person and on-stage pitch, building an investor pipeline, refining a financial model, and developing confidence in holding investor meetings. During the Bootcamp, founders will receive intensive instruction along with personalized coaching and feedback on who and how to approach fundraising sources to be most effective. The Bootcamp culminates in a Pitch Day – a live event attended by area investors to launch your fundraise or round out your fundraising process.
What makes TVN’s Climate Solutions Investment Bootcamp unique is our experience working with startups/accelerator programs, a fee-based structure, and a network approach. Entrepreneur-in-Residence Julie Penner has over 20 years of experience working with entrepreneurs and has coached more than 100 early-stage startups on investment readiness at Techstars, TVN, and other accelerators. Additionally, our program is fee-based; no equity is required in order to participate. Finally, TVN operates as an entrepreneurial ecosystem. We don’t stop providing service to businesses once the Bootcamp has finished. Graduates are encouraged to enter the TVN mentorship program, which features a diverse group of experts who volunteer their time to help a company’s journey toward success. Our network boasts over 50 mentors, including former CEOs, entrepreneurs, investors, engineers, go-to-market strategists, and more, rivaling any metro area mentor program.
